Lester Willenbring

Lester was born March 23, 1920, in Dyersville, Iowa the son of Henry and Louisa (Nurre) Willenbring. He married Leora Meis on September 9, 1948 in New Vienna, Iowa. Together they farmed West of Dyersville until retirement. They continued to live on the farm. Lester loved farming and was a member of the New Vienna Coop. They enjoyed going out for dinner and parties. Surviving are his wife, Leora, of Dyersville, a sister-in-law, Flavia Willenbring of Dyersville, a brother-in-law, Joe (Florence) Meis of Holy Cross, and a sister-in-law, Jeanette (Elmer) Hilkin of Dubuque, and many nieces and nephews. Lester was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Emery on Oct. 26, 1997, and a sister, Jeanette Weber on March 28, 2001.
