Lloyd Horstman

Lloyd Fred Horstman was born the son of Harvey and Elsie (Friedlein) Horstman on July 3, 1929 on the farm near Guttenberg. He died Tuesday, October 6, 2009, at Guttenberg Care Center. Lloyd graduated from the Guttenberg Public School and farmed for several years until his retirement. In his free time Lloyd truly enjoyed dancing and anticipated a good card game. Lloyd is survived by two brothers, Dennis (Sue) Horstman of Guttenberg and Kenneth (Marlene) Horstman of Marion, IA; two sisters in law, Martha Horstman of Guttenberg and Mary Ellen Horstman of Dyersville; 14 nieces and nephews, Jeff Horstman, Jay Horstman, Joyce (Gary) Smith, June (Harlan) Werger, Janice (Gary) Harbaugh, Julie (Jeffrey) Rohner, Judith (Dale) Tuecke, Mike Horstman, Mark Horstman, Linda (Jim) Dryer, Una (Lester) Groth, Deb Papagni, Harvey (Bonnie) Horstman and Richard Donegan. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, Eunice and Irene; 4 brothers, Vernon, Alvin, Robert and Harvey Jr.; one nephew Carl Horstman.Visitation: Friday 9:00 - 10:00 A.M.
