Lloyd Schoulte

Lloyd F. Schoulte was born the son of Henry and Hattie (Berns) Schoulte, January 5, 1912, on the family farm near National, Iowa. He died Saturday, November 13, 2004, at Guttenberg Care Center. Lloyd received his education from country school and St. Josephs School in Garnavillo, and farmed with his family for many years. He served as trustee of St. Josephs Church from 1959 to 1984, and enjoyed playing cards and traveling with Tillie. On May 29, 1934, he was united in marriage with Mathilda Hoeger at St Marys Catholic Church in Guttenberg. Those left to cherish his memory are one daughter, Joyce (Carroll) Clabaugh of Salem, Oregon; two sons, Robert (Patricia) Schoulte of Monona, and Roger (Joyce) Schoulte of Farmersburg; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one son, Ronald; one great-grandson, Tyson; and four sisters, Ethel Kann, Rita Kann, Anna Rutledge, and Ronilla Connor.Visitation: 4:00-8:00 P.M.
