Lois Loretta (Leliefeld) Barry, age 83, of Dubuque, IA, died Friday, April 17, 2009, at Stonehill Care Center in Dubuque, IA She was born the daughter of George "Bill" and Hazel (Baker) Harbaugh, July 16, 1925, on the home farm near Colesburg IA. Lois received her education locally; and was employed by the American Pearl Button Co. in Guttenberg and custodian for the Dubuque Community School for many years. On October 11, 1948, Lois was united in marriage with Norman J. Leliefeld at St. Marys Church in Guttenberg. To this union they were blessed with three children. Norman passed away on July 19, 1959. Lois later married James Barry on June 27, 1973, at Holy Ghost Church in Dubuque. She was a member of St. Patricks Catholic Church; VFW; lifetime member of DAV; an avid card player, loved to dance; was a Foster Grandparent and worked with 2nd graders at Marshall School. Those left to cherish her memory one daughter, Judy Loney of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Norman (Laurie) Leliefeld of Dubuque and Rick (Mary) Leliefeld of Wheaton, Ill.; eight grandchildren: Bill Loney, Kim (Jason) Mills, Kelly Loney; Martha, Hannah and Emma Leliefeld; Amy and Andrew Leliefeld; six great-grandchildren; three step-children: Dennis (Mary Ann) Barry, Maureen Barry, and Pat (Patricia) Barry; Godchildren; Bonnie Moser and Roger Ben. She was preceded in death by her parents, two spouses, Norman Leliefeld and James Barry, her sister, Alverta Knudtson and godchild, Scott Goerdt.In Lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to the family of Lois Leliefeld Barry.Visitation: Tuesday 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. April 21, 2009 at the Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home Guttenberg, Iowa and one hour before service at church.Funeral Service: Wednesday 10:30 A.M.
