Loren Moser

Loren Allan Moser was born on January 3, 1936 to Frank and Maggie (Noack) Moser in Osterdock IA. He passed away Friday, May 9, 2014, at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital. Loren was baptized May 3, 1961, as he became a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Guttenberg. On June 24th 1961, Loren was united in marriage with Sharon Aulwes and this union blessed them with two daughters, Kimbra and Monica. Loren worked different farm jobs and spent time working for a High Line Co in the early years. He later worked for Meuser Lumber Co. until becoming a manager and truck driver for Swales Concrete even after Bard purchased the company he spent a number of years working for Bard until he retired. Loren enjoyed fishing, listening to music, playing dice and visiting with his family and friends. He loved working on his old Chevy and was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan. He was active in his church with helping set up for funerals and serving on the church council. Loren is survived by his wife of 52 years, Sharon; two daughters, Kimbra Moser and Monica (Pat) Hines; granddaughter, Summer Hines; three sisters, Ila Weyant, Ivanell Bolsinger, Marge Hefel; sister in law Letha Moser and several very special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Vinnie Sprague, Ruth Dahlstrom, Arlene Fischer, Velma Moser; brothers in law, Burton Sprague, Melvin Dahlstrom, Clarence Fischer, Gerald Hefel, Russ Weyant, Harold Bolsinger; brothers, Clark, Ivan, Harvey and Clyde Moser; sisters in law, Fern Moser, Gerri Moser and Leonell Moser.Memorial Service: Tuesday 10:00 A.M. May 13, 2014 at St. Paul Lutheran Church Guttenberg IowaVisitation: Monday 4:00 - 7:00 P.M.
