EARLVILLE, IOWA
Luke B. Schuman, of Earlville, Iowa passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics surrounded by his loving parents.
Visitation will be held from 3 - 7 p.m. on Friday, April 18, 2025, at Kramer-Morris Funeral Home in Dyersville, Iowa. Visitation will continue at 9 a.m. at theStone Church in Manchester, Iowa prior to funeral services.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at theStone Church in Manchester, Iowa, with burial following in Fairview Cemetery in Earlville, Iowa.
Luke was born at 25 weeks and 6 days on March 25, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, IA, son of Tyler and Rachel (Keppler) Schuman .
Luke was the sweetest baby boy who loved being talked to, his feet tickled and showing off his long fingers and toes. Luke was very special in the fact that his 6-year-old big brother prayed for him to be here. He is deeply loved and deeply missed.
Survivors include his parents, Tyler and Rachel of Earlville; siblings, Jack (6) and Ellery (4); maternal and paternal grandparents: Chris and Brenda Keppler of Strawberry Point and Brad and Cathy Sanford of Asbury; aunts and uncles: Jared and Ariell Funk of Elkader, Dillon and Emily Keppler of Marshalltown, Chris and Caitlin Hoeger of Earlville, Danielle Schuman of Farley, and Gillian Sanford of Chicago, IL; cousins: Daisy and Dahlia Funk, Parker and Adeline Keppler, and baby Hoeger on the way; great-grandparents: Bernadine Thielen of Dyersville, Darline Schuman of Earlville, and Donald and Catherine Keppler of Manchester.
Luke is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Ronald Schuman, and great- grandparents Everett Schuman, Gene Thielen, and Marvin and Arlene Gamm.
The family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff at Regional Medical Center, St, Luke’s Hospital and University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for their dedicated and compassionate care.
