Lyle Morarend

Lyle Morarend, age 90, of Guttenberg, died Monday, January 26, 2015, at Guttenberg Care Center. He was born the son of Arno and Clara (Friedlein) Morarend, June 3, 1924, near Osterdock. Lyle received his education locally, served his country in the United States Army during WWII and worked for the Wright Trees Service and Meuser Lumber Co. for many years. Lyle enjoyed fishing and spending winters in Texas. Survivors include one daughter, Sheryl (David) Bahls of Guttenberg; one son, Jerry (Trish) Frederick of Thompson, Illinois; four grandchildren, Jennifer Bahls, Jacqueline Bahls, Marc Terry and Travis (Kelly) Frederick; two great-grandchildren, Grace and Drew; one brother, William (Gerene) Morarend of Milford, Delaware; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arno and Clara; his wife, Juanita (Cheeseman) Morarend; three brothers, Veryl, Delois, and Leonard; and two sisters in infancy.Memorial Service: Friday 10:30 A.M.
