NORTH BUENA VISTA, IOWA Lyndon "Lynn" C. Ludovissy, 49, of North Buena Vista died Friday, May 30, 2014, at Van Buren County Medical Center in Keosaqua, Iowa on his annual fishing trip with family and friends. Friends may call from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2014, at Kramer Funeral Home in Holy Cross. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in North Buena Vista with inurnment in the church cemetery. Rev. Marvin Bries will officiate. Lynn was born January 31, 1965, in Guttenberg, Iowa, the son of Donald and Mary (Breitbach) Ludovissy. He graduated with the Class of 1983 at the Guttenberg High School. He married Karen Theisen on May 16, 1987, in Holy Cross, Iowa. Lynn worked at Mi-T-M as a metal fabrication supervisor for 23 years. He served on the North Buena Vista City Council, the Immaculate Conception Parish Council and was formerly on the St. Mary's School Board. He and Karen enjoyed gardening, camping and fishing with the family and he especially enjoyed his time with his new grandson, Noah Lynn. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid deer hunter. The mottos he lived by were "Who has more fun than us!" and "We're only here for a little while." Survivors include his wife, Karen; 2 children: Benjamin (fiancé Lacey Bailey) of Holy Cross and Amber at home; 1 grandchild: Noah Lynn Ludovissy, his parents, Don and Mary Ludovissy of North Buena Vista; Siblings: Alice (Duane) Phelps of Colesburg, Arlus Keller of Bettendorf, Aggie Lammers (John Houston) of West Des Moines, Amy (Robie) Vonderhaar of Guttenberg, Henry Ludovissy of North Buena Vista, Dan (Kim) Ludovissy of North Buena Vista, Harve (Mandy) Ludovissy of Guttenberg, and Donna (Ken) Kuhlman of Colesburg; parents-in law: Jim and Shirley Theisen of Holy Cross, brothers and sisters-in-law, Patty (Pat) Steffen of Luxemburg, Ken (Cyndi) Theisen of Holy Cross, Nancy (Joe) Oberbroeckling of Asbury, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog, Baby. He was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Ludovissy, and in-laws: Heather Ludovissy, John Keller, and Ron Theisen.
