Madonna Rademacher

Madonna Louise (Rolfes) Rademacher, age 84, of Garnavillo, IA, died Thursday, July 10, 2014, at Grandview Healthcare Center in Oelwein, IA. She was born on March 17, 1930, in rural Garnavillo IA, to George and Katherine (Schmelzer) Rolfes. Madonna received her education from the Garnavillo School where she graduated in the spring of 1947. That fall on September 29, 1947, Madonna was united in marriage with Emmet William Rademacher Jr. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garnavillo. Together they farmed for several years while raising their three children. Madonna was a member of the Rosary Society, Catholic Daughters and a genealogy group. She enjoyed crocheting, basket making and spending time with her family and friends. She will be forever loved and cherished by her two sons, Bill (Linda) Rademacher of Garnavillo, Warren "Rudy" Rademacher of Garber; two grandsons, William (Sue) Rademacher and Jim (Andrea) Rademacher; four great grandchildren, Michael, Jessica, Bryndle and Amity; one great great granddaughter, Ashlyn and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Julie Otteson; two sisters and their husbands, Georgia (Joe) Whittle and Kathleen (Clarence) Bahls.Visitation: Monday 4:00 - 7:00 P.M.
