Marcella Deutmeyer

Marcella was born November 7, 1909 in Dyersville, Iowa, the daughter of Nicholas and Anna (Loeser) Nachtman. She married Albert H. Deutmeyer January 24, 1933 in Dyersville, Iowa. They farmed in the Dyersville area until their retirement in 1969. Marcella loved her grandchildren, gardening, cooking, sewing and playing cards. Survivors include 3 daughters: Wilma (Louis) Berns and Theresa (Elmer) Bries both of Monona, IA, and Betty (Floyd) Westhoff of Guttenburg, IA. 2 sons: John (Joyce Wegmann) Deutmeyer of Worthington, IA and Jerry (Alice Mensen) Deutmeyer of Dyersville 27 grandchildren. 51 great grandchildren. In-laws: Delores Deutmeyer and Doris Deutmeyer of Dyersville, IA, Bill and Rosie Deppe and Rita Klostermann of Manchester, IA. Marcella was preceded in death by her husband Albert on Jan. 8, 1994. 1 grandson, Tim Berns, 2 great grandsons, Paul Crow and Taylor Lee. 2 brothers; Edmund and Cletus Nachtman.
