Margaret "Granny" Baker, 87 of Garnavillo, Died Monday, October 13, 2014, at her home. She was the Daughter of John and Annie (Kelso) Milligan, born August 31, 1927, in North Kingston, Rhode Island. Margaret graduated from High School in Rhode Island and was a homemaker for many years. The most important day in Margaret Bakers life was the day she trusted Christ as her personal Savior. On May 29, 1946, she was united in marriage with Elmer Baker Jr. in Phoenix, Arizona. In May 1991 they moved to Garnavillo. Her joy in life was her love for the Scriptures, the Assembly, her friends and her family, she loved people, and always looks for ways to encourage others, and everyone felt welcomed and loved in "granny and granddads home." She loved music, the beauty of Gods creation, her garden and cooking. Survivors include sons, Tom (Nelly) Baker, Jim (Sue) Baker and John (Ruth) Baker; daughters, Lois Ingersoll and Jean (George) Brandt; sixteen grandchildren; thirty-six great-grandchildren; and many friends.
