Marian J. Bell, 94, of Dyersville died Monday, November 16, 2015, at Oak Crest Manor in Dyersville. Visitation will be held 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 19, 2015, at Kramer Funeral Home, 750 12th Ave SW in Dyersville where a parish vigil service will be held at 7p.m. Visitation will continue Friday from 9 – 10 a.m. at Kramer Funeral Home prior to funeral services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 20, 2015, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Dennis Quint will officiate. Marian was born March 17, 1921, in Dyersville the daughter of Bernard & Lidwina (Kramer) Anstoetter. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in Farley and earned her teaching certificate at the University of Dubuque. She taught at two country schools including East Scott near Farley. She married John H. Bell on June 22, 1946, in Farley, Iowa. Together they farmed west of Dyersville until retiring in 1984, when they moved to Dyersville. She was a member of the Farm Bureau Women’s group and volunteered at Mercy Medical Center and Oak Crest Manor in Dyersville. Survivors include her children: Ann Millenkamp of Dyersville, Donna (Peter) Motta of Courtland Manor, NY, Larry (Karen) Bell of Dyersville, Kathy (Mick) Coleman of Burnsville, MN, Jan Craiker of Springfield, VA, Jeff (Liz) Bell of Falls Church, VA; 19 grandchildren: Shelly (Tracy) Irwin, Molly (Cal) Halstead, Mike (Donna) Millenkamp, Bill (Susie) Millenkamp, Tony Millenkamp, Jennifer (Tim) Conklin, John (Sarah) Motta, Jim (Chrissy) Motta, Jason (Christine) Motta, Brian Bell, Colleen (Adam) Humphrey, Patrick (Katie) Bell, Sarah Coleman, Rose Coleman, Karen (John) Xenakis, John Coleman, Sam Craiker, Grace Craiker and Jack Craiker, 26 great grandchildren: Jack & Sammy Jo Irwin, Anna, Will, Max & Carly Halstead, Grace, Maggie, Grady & Emma Millenkamp, Jack, Ellie Mae, Trudy & Johnny Millenkamp, Abigail & Tanner Conklin, Jack, Caleb & Anna Motta, Kiersten & Kaelyn Motta, Drew & Trent Motta, Christian & Juliet Humphrey, and Claire Xenakis; siblings: Jerry (Moni) Anstoetter of Farley, IA, John (Joan) Anstoetter of Dubuque, IA, Millie Koehler of Decatur, IL, in-laws: Janaan (Ken) Krapfl of Monticello, IA, Shirley (Clete) Maiers of Dubuque, IA, Tom (Jeanette) Bell of Dyersville, Kay (Vern) Gansemer of Sussex, WI, Laura Willenbring of Farley, Arlene Bell of Dyersville, and Betty Bell of East Dubuque, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben & Lydia, her husband, John in 2010; siblings: Charlie (Dori) Anstoetter, Sr. Marirose Anstoetter, RSM, Esther (Fran) Joyce, Alice (Gene) Wieser, Bernie Anstoetter and Don Anstoetter; in-laws: Ken Koehler, Jim (Helen) Bell, Rose Mary (Don) Willenbring, Herb Bell, Edith (Orland) Kedley, and Louie Bell. The family would like to thank the caring staff at Oak Crest Manor and Hospice of Dubuque for their excellent care and compassion.
