Marilyn A. Kolker

GUTTENBERG, IOWA

Marilyn Ann (Sudol) Kolker, 87, of Guttenberg, Iowa passed away Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at Guttenberg Care Center in Guttenberg.

Marilyn was born on October 11, 1937, in Monona, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Ambrose) Sudol. Marilyn graduated from MFL in 1955, before attending Business College in Minneapolis.

After Business College, Marilyn worked for Chicago and Eastern Illinois Railroad until meeting the love of her life, John Raymond Kolker. They were married on August 12, 1958, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Monona. Marilyn helped run their business, John’s Feed Store and later in life, worked at G & G Living Centers.

Marilyn is survived by her son, John (Lora) Kolker; daughter, Kim Moser; grandchildren: Jeremy (Melissa) Kolker, Nicole (Chad Tesar) Kolker, TJ Kolker, Catie (Nick) Dean, Ethan Moser; great-grandchildren: Ayla and Stella Kolker, Nolyn Kolker, Colten Kolker, Avery and Mallory Dean; in-laws: Diane Sudol, Janice Andregg, Judy Tepper, Sandy Kolker, Pat Kolker, and Joann Kolker.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband, John; parents; parents-in-law; siblings: Frank Sudol, Loretta (Jim) McNally; in-laws: Jay, Jerry, Jim Kolker, Matt Tepper, Jon Andregg; nephew, Jeff Kolker; and niece, Jill Peterson.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 1, 2024, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Guttenberg where a funeral mass will commence at 11 a.m.
