Marjorie Meyer

Marjorie E (Saylor) Meyer was called to her heavenly home on Saturday, April 22, 2006, from the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital with her family by her side. She was born the daughter of Thomas and Agnes (Besser) Saylor on August 30, 1923 in North Buena Vista. Marjorie received her education locally and spent many years as a nurses aid, working for the Guttenberg Care Center from the opening day. She also spent many years making a home for her husband and children. On November 12, 1942 she was united in marriage with Francis Meyer in Blair Nebraska. To this union they were blessed with four children. Marjorie enjoyed her crafts, quilting, doodling and doing crossword puzzles in her free time. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Francis; two daughters, Sharon (Ken) Neverman of Nappanee, Ind, Kimberly Meyer of Vancouver, Wash; one daughter in law, Karen Meyer of Guttenberg; one son, Roger (Patty) Meyer of Guttenberg; one sister, Norma (Dana) Olson of Tempe, Ariz; seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Dale "Butch" Meyer; two sisters, Charlotte and Louise; three brothers, Wilbur, Donald and Lawrence Saylor.Visitation: Tuesday 4:00-8:00 P.M.
