MONTICELLO, IOWA Mary L. Kleitsch, 88, of Monticello, Iowa, died Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at Northbrook Care Center, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 4 - 8 p.m. Friday, November 20, 2015, at Kramer Funeral Home in Monticello. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 21, 2015, at the First Presbyterian Church in Monticello with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Pastor Al Polito will officiate. Mary was born October 29, 1927, in Monticello the daughter of Fritz and Ethel (Winch) Marugg. She married Carl Kleitsch on March 6, 1964, in Mt. Carroll, Illinois. She worked at Georgia Pacific in Monticello for over 30 years. Mary was an avid bicyclist who, together with Carl, rode RAGBRAI 15 times. Halloween and Christmas were their favorite holidays. She enjoyed quilting, crafts, sewing, cooking/baking and popping corn at Regions Bank. She especially loved spending time with her family and was a member of the Presbyterian Pie Service. Mary always had a smile and was always “fit as a fiddle”. Survivors include her children: Lois Newholm of Marion, Debra (Dave) Meyers of Frisco, TX; a daughter-in-law, Linda Bauer of Monticello; grandchildren: Jeff (Lisa) Bauer, Cory Bauer, Troy (Brandy) Bauer, Chelsea, Kathryn and Nicholas Meyers; great grandchildren: Lexi, Rylee and Breanna Bauer, and Chase Bauer; siblings: Helen (Dave) Sackett of Anamosa, Margaret Faust of Edgewood, and Charlotte (Dale) Lowrey of Fostoria, OH in-laws: Marion Marugg and Peggy Marugg, both of Kentucky, Leona Onken, Sr. Ruth Kleitsch and Wilfred (Rita) Kleitsch, all of Monticello, Edwin and Irvin Kleitsch, Marion (Bob) Hosch, all of Cascade. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Carl Kleitsch in 2014; 2 sons: Charles Bauer and Danny Bauer, a son-in-law, Craig Newholm; siblings: Richard, Robert (Irene), Russell, John, James and Fritz Marugg; in-laws: Alve Onken, Doloris Kleitsch, Carol Kleitsch, Darlene Marugg, Bud Bader, and Loren Faust.
