Mathilda Gull

Mathilda Katherine "Tillie" (Miller) Gull, age 95, of Guttenberg, was born the daughter of Charles and Margaret (McNish) Miller, December 14, 1912, in Guttenberg. She died Saturday, February 9, 2008, at Guttenberg Care Center. Tillie graduated from St. Marys Catholic School (she was the oldest living alumni); served her country as a navel secretary during World War II, and owned and operated Gull Jewelers for many years. On July 13, 1944, she was united in marriage with John "Jack" Gull in Chicago, Illinois. She was a member of the Guttenberg Library Board, Guttenberg Book Club and enjoyed reading, traveling and playing cards. Those left to cherish her memory are two granddaughters, Michelle (Travis) Geuder of Guttenberg and Marcia (John) ONeill of New York; two great-granddaughters, Noelle Katherine and Katy Mathilda and one son-in-law, Mark & Lana Gratace of Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jack, one daughter, Kathy, one sister, Rita Hansel and one brother, Willard Miller.Memorial Service: 10:30 AM February 16, 2008 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, GuttenbergInterment: Hansel Cemetery at a later date.
