James Matthew Pumphrey

ANAMOSA, IOWA James “Matt” M. Pumphrey, 48, of Anamosa, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at home, surrounded by his family. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Matt was born March 14, 1972 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, son of James and Dee (Reed) Pumphrey. He married Stephanie Woodard on June 25, 2011 in Lisbon, Iowa. He was an avid fan of football, and even made his own football helmets. He most enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his daughters, DeeAnna and Paige. Matt is survived by his wife, Stephanie; children: DeeAnna and Paige Pumphrey; his father, James Pumphrey; siblings: Stanley (Lisa) Pumphrey, Lisa (Gene) Kidd, Rodney Pumphrey, Lainie Avenson; in-laws: Kim (Kipp) Haverly of Anamosa, Stacy (Bob) Krumviede of Hopkinton, Sara (Andy) Werner of Hopkinton, and many aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews and friends.
