Mayme Friederich

Mayme Rena (Schutte) Friederich was born the daughter of Elmer and Frieda (Kalke) Schutte, November 17, 1920, near Guttenberg. She died Thursday, October 11, 2007, at the Guttenberg Care Center. Mayme graduated from the Guttenberg High School, worked at Muters Co Original Enders Co. and was a homemaker for many years. She was a member of the St. Pauls Ladies Guild, Josephine Rebekah Lodge #7, Red Hat Society and enjoyed playing cards, quilting, and spending time with family and friends. On October 22, 1941, Mayme was united in marriage with John Friederich at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Guttenberg. Survivors include, two daughters, Joyce (Howard) Bakken of Decorah and Janan (Royce) Hansel of Elkader; one son, Harlan Friederich, Sr. of Saint Olaf; nine grandchildren, Tammy (Joe) Sylvester, Timmy Hansel, Talisa (Darren) Troester, Peggy (Mike) Bostic, Dennis Meyer, Dean Meyer, Dawn Friederich, Harlan Friederich Jr.; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Joshua, Nicholas, Ashley, Alicia, Blade, Cayden, Tia, Trinten, Bryce, Lonnie Jr. Dusti, Jeremiah, Abbi, Seth, Autumn, Andrew, Caleb, Adrian, and Orion.
