Michael Jon Clinton

Michael Jon Clinton was born the son of Tom Clinton and Debbra Czarnecki on May 24, 1986, in Prairie du Chien Wis. He was called to heaven by the angels of God Tuesday, June 17, 2008, from the University of Iowa Hospitals after an accident. Michael spent his life growing up in Guttenberg area and graduated from the Clayton Ridge High School in 2004. After school he worked as a carpenter working on various projects. When Michael wasnt working he loved being on the river and always anticipated duck season. Michael was destined for life on the river as he was baptized in the city park next to the Mississippi River by Pastor Wasta and he used water from the river for the baptism. One thing Michael was proud of was his wrestling. By his graduation he was the only person from school to make it to State. He attended a wrestling camp where he had his wrestling shoes signed by Cael Sanderson who is an Olympic champion and four-time NCAA champion. He wore those shoes during his match at State and when his step grandfather Guy turned 70 years old, he gave those shoes to him as a gift. Michael took pride in taking care of his family. Since his Uncle Scott Nelson passed away this past January, Michael made sure that his grandparents and Heidi Zittergruens driveways, sidewalks and roofs were cleared of snow. He would get up at 4:30 in the morning to make sure that his family didnt have worry about digging out of all the snow that fell this past winter. Michaels legacy will be carried on by his mother and stepfather, Debbra (Mark) Czarnecki of Beaver Dam Wis; father, Tom (Deb Friday) Clinton of Guttenberg; two brothers, Chad Clinton of Mankato, Minn. and Neal (Joy) Clinton of Fort Monroe, Va.; maternal grandmother and step grandfather Dian (Guy) Meskimen of Guttenberg; step-grandmother-Sue Brom of Balltown; special friend Jordan Lewis and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Gerald and Katherine Clinton; maternal grandfather, Gordon Nelson Sr.; uncle Scott Nelson and step grandfather Donald Czarnecki.
