DYERSVILLE, IOWA Myra E. Rausch, 89, of, Dyersville, Iowa died Thursday, February 25, 2016, at Shady Rest Care Center, Cascade, Iowa. Visitation will be held 3 - 7 p.m. Sunday, February 28, 2016, at Kramer Funeral Home, 750 12th Ave SW in Dyersville where a parish vigil service will be held at 3 pm. Visitation will continue from 9 – 10 a.m. Monday, February 29 at Kramer Funeral Home prior to funeral services. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, February 29, 2016, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, Iowa with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Dennis Quint will officiate. Myra was born November 16, 1926, in Petersburg, Iowa the daughter of Aloysius and Clara (Kruse) Scherbring. She married Joseph J. Rausch on July 14, 1947, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Together they farmed in the Petersburg area, as well ran the Corner Tap in Petersburg for 12 years. They moved to Manchester in 1980 when she became the seamstress at the hospital before retiring to Dyersville in 1995. Survivors include 6 children: Donald (Wilma) of Dyersville, IA, Fred (Nancy Livingston) of Highland Park, IL, Rick (Gwenn) of Chicago, IL, Deb Rausch (Ron Streitman) of Minnetonka, MN and Bev Rausch of St. Paul, MN and Randy of Dyersville, IA; 11 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and 1 step great-grandchild; one brother, Jim (Janice) Scherbring of Colesburg; and 2 sisters-in-laws: Adelaide Bildstein of Dyersville, IA and Joanne Rausch of Guttenberg; Myra was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph in 2002, and siblings: Paul Scherbring, Fritz (Florence) Scherbring, Urban Scherbring, and Eunice Scherbring, and numerous in-laws.
