Norbert 'Norb' Glawe

Obituary Norbert "Norb" Eugene Glawe, age 82, of Elkader, IA, died Monday, September 5, 2022, at the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital. He was born on June 25, 1940, at home in Osterdock, the son of William and Laura (Bahls) Glawe Jr. Norbert received his education from the Bethel County School near Osterdock. For many years he worked for Ertl Toy Company as a semi driver. Norb served as Garber fire chief for 8 years and was a jack of all trades and would always be there to help many friends, family and the community. Norbert is survived by his 4 children, Sue (Rick) Hansel, Tammy Hoffman, Kathy Bahls & Troy Glawe; 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 4 siblings, Betty Kuehl, Lois Aulwes, Lyle (Darlene) Glawe, Shirley Moser any many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Norbert was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Loren (Janette) Glawe; sister, Candace Krapfl; nephew, Scott Moser; brothers in law, Nathan Moser, Robert Aulwes & Lawrence Kuehl.
