Norma Shady

Surviving are 2 daughters: Julie (Jeff) Klein of Worthington, Iowa and Nancy Dunkel of Dyersville, Iowa, and a son, Steve (Sheila) Shady of Worthington, Iowa; 2 step-sons, Roger (Roilynn) Shady of Sand Springs and Randy (Dixie) Shady of Monticello, Iowa; 1 sister, Marilyn (Eldie) Pins of Worthington, Iowa; 8 grandchildren: Jeremy, Alex, Kendra, Miranda, Becky, Brittany, Jacob and Chelsie, 8 step-grandchildren: Randy, Jr., Diane, Jeff, Rick, Holly, Brandi, Jessica and Chad and 6 step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter Connie Sue and step son, Rolly Shady. Norma was born on April 17, 1934 near Worthington, Iowa, the daughter of Richard A. and Esther C. (Fiedler) Lasche. She graduated from St. Paul School in the class of 1952. Norma worked at Schockemoehl Hardware Store for a few years where she met Harry W. Shady. They married on January 16, 1964. She was a homemaker and a bookkeeper for their family business, Harry Shady Trucking for over 20 yrs. After their divorce she worked for Marugg's Store, Worthington General Store, Karen's Kafe and at J & B's No Passing Zone. Norma enjoyed gardening and tending to the grandchildren.
