Olan Tegeler

Survivors include his son, Alan J. (Nancy) of San Antonio, TX, one grandson, Brian (Misty) Tegeler of San Antonio, TX, 2 great granddaughters: Madyson Tegeler and Morgan Kite, 1 great, great grandson , Lyncon Schaefer, 2 brothers-in-law: Ernie (Anne) Burger of Worthington and Jerry (Ruth Anne) Burger of Dubuque, a sister-in-law, Mildred Burger of Masonville and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Verla Sue in 2007 and 2 sisters: Odelia Sutter and Myra Kellog. Olan was born on November 1, 1918 in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Albert and Josephine (Ruemmele) Tegeler. He married Verla Sue Burger on November 13, 1945 in Worthington, Iowa. Together they owned and operated the State Bank of Worthington until their retirement in 1991 when they sold the Bank. Olan was a member of the American Legion Post 137.
