Olive Florence Theresa Kick

Olive Florence Theresa (Burns) Kick was born the daughter of Edward and Florence (Illingworth) Burns on March 27, 1915, in Yonkers, New York. She passed away Saturday, February 3, 2007, at the Guttenberg Care Center. After Olive received her education, she was united in marriage with Samuel Kick on July 5, 1936, in Yonkers. Together they were blessed with two daughters. After the family moved to Iowa, Olive enjoyed working part-time for the Younkers department store in Bettendorf's Duck Creek Plaza. In her leisure time, she enjoyed reading mystery stories and taking Sunday afternoon car rides. Olive will be especially remembered by her two daughters: Carolyn (Richard) Clefisch of Guttenberg and Phyllis (Charles) Morris of Danville, IL; one granddaughter, Ann (James) Bruehler of Mattoon, IL; two great-grandchildren, Kate and John Bruehler; and two sisters, Audrey (Paul) Bollenbach of Yonkers, NY, and Margaret Nappi of Bradenton, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one sister, Florence (Honey) Greive.
