Owen Harbaugh

Obituary Owen Harbaugh, age 72, of Guttenberg, IA, died Thursday, March 26, 2020, at home surrounded by his family. Owen was born July 16th 1947 to Charles "Willis" and Goldie Harbaugh on the home farm near Colesburg IA. He was one of four children. He attended Guttenberg High School and graduated in 1966. After graduation he served in the US Army where he was stationed in Germany. Over the years Owen enjoyed fishing, hunting, coin collecting, going to auctions, and attending birthday parties for the little ones. He worked various jobs, some including Hiltons, Trademark, Double L, Kanns, and Henderson. He was always quite the handy man when it came to carpentry work. Owen is survived by his brother Curt Harbaugh of Colesburg; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, along with his beloved cat Tucker. Owen was preceded in death by his parents; brother Don Harbaugh, sister Phyllis White, sister- in- law Charlene Harbaugh and brother- in -law Robert White. A memorial service planned for a future date will be announced. The family would like to thank St. Croix Hospice for the wonderful care that Owen received from their staff. In lieu of any style of sympathy, the family request memorials to benefit either Guttenberg Municipal Hospital, St Croix Hospice, Bethel Cemetery or a charity of your choice.
