Patricia Kedrock-Chase

Patricia Kedrock Chase died peacefully in her sleep on April 6, 2008 in Guttenberg, IA where she had been living with her daughter. She was born Patricia Eleanor Ayers on March 31, 1921 in Detroit, MI. She had three sisters, Eileen Welhoner, Mary June Bugher and Ruthella Jeanne Parker. Diagnosed with heart failure many years ago, she remained in good health until her final year. She is survived by her four children: Karen Sue (Gary) Riser of Guttenberg, IA; Betty Alexandra Kedrock of Norfolk, VA; William Alan (Mylene) Kedrock of Fairfax, VA; Ruthella Lee (Jim) McKinney of Gardnerville, NV; six grandchildren: Chad, Scott, Shannon, Jonathan, Nicholas and Matt, and by her sister, Ruthella (Bob). She married Alex Kedrock in April 1943. They retired from Sioux City, IA in 1976 and moved to Vero Beach, FL. After 40 years of marriage, Alex died in 1983. Pat married Reginald Chase in 1986 in Vero Beach where they remained until his death in 2006. Pat was a loving wife and mother. She was devoted to raising her family and was very active in her church both in Sioux City and Vero Beach. She was well loved and will be greatly missed by her family, good friends and her church. Pat was cremated per her wishes. A memorial service will be held in May in Vero Beach, FL to remember her and the life she lived which reflected her deep faith in Jesus Christ.
