Paul is survived by his daughter, Norma (Alvin) March of Dyersville; 2 grandchildren: Ann March of Osceola, Iowa and James (Kathryn) March of Sioux City, Iowa; a great-granddaughter, Stephanie March; and his sister-in-law, Marcel Krapfl of Waverly, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Isabel, one brother, Alvin Friedman, and three sisters: Marie Kruse, Henrietta VanHoose, and Theresia Friedman in infancy. Paul was born February 11, 1904, at Haverhill, Iowa the son of Jacob & Theresia (Holdgrafer) Friedman. He graduated from St. Francis Brother's School in the Class of 1922 and was united in marriage to Isabel A. Tegeler on September 30, 1929, in Dyersville. Paul worked in the family business with his father until he purchased it. He owned and operated what became known as the Friedman Motor Company for nearly forty years until retiring in 1969. Paul was a former trustee of St. Francis Xavier Basilica parish for 17 years, and was an usher for many more. He was a 75-year member of the Catholic Order of Foresters.
