Paul Steger

Paul Steger, 63, of Dyersville, Iowa died Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at home after a short illness. Friends may call from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2005, at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville, where a funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Officiating will be Rev. Jerry Kopacek. Paul was born on December 12, 1941 in Dyersville, Iowa, the son of Sylvester and Rose (Quint) Steger. He served in the Navy on the USS Rowan in San Diego. He was an avid outdoorsman and particularly enjoyed trout fishing. Survivors include two daughters: Nikki (Cory) Nuehring of Guttenberg, IA and Erika Steger of Denver, CO; one son, Jason (Jenny) Steger of West Des Moines, IA; three grandchildren: Brian Steger, Garrick Gautney and Payton Nuehring; two brothers: Donald (Darlene) Steger and Vernon (Cecelia) Steger both of Dyersville, IA; two sisters: Norma (Francis) Apel of Dubuque, IA and Rosemary (Eugene) Schmidt of Waterloo, IA; and nieces and nephews.
