Randy Wessels

Friends may call from 2 - 8 p.m. Sunday, November 15, 2009 at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville, Iowa where a parish scripture service will be held at 2 p.m. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 16, 2009, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, Iowa. Officiating will be Rev. Robert Gross. Inurnment will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Randy was born on January 8, 1954, in Manchester, Iowa, the son of Fred M. and Norma (Maiers) Wessels. He graduated from Western Dubuque with the class of 1972 and joined the US Navy, serving 12 years of active duty. He loved to travel, living in various cities across the United States. He worked for Tschiggfrie Condtruction for the last 8 years. Survivors include his parents, Fred M. and Norma Wessels of Dyersville, one brother Ron of Earlham, IA, one sister, Susanne (Roger) Manternach of Brownsburg, IN, and 9 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Richard in 1992 and 2 brothers in infancy, Rodney and Russell. A Randy J. Wessels Memorial Fund has been established and memorials are preferred.
