DYERSVILLE, IOWA Richard L. “Dick” Gehring, 88 of Dyersville , Iowa passed away Saturday, November 13, 2021 at River Bend Assisted Living Center, Cascade, Iowa. Family and friends may gather at Kramer Funeral Home, Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville, Iowa with burial in St. Francis Cemetery. Rev. Dennis Quint will officiate. Dick was born on July 12, 1933 in Kenosha, WI, the son of John and Anna (Azer) Gehring. He married Diane M. Kasparek in June of 1964. Dick attended the University of Wisconsin, Marquette and Northwestern Universities and held an Iowa CPA certificate. He worked in public and private accounting and was an adjunct instructor of accounting for many years at Quad City colleges. Dick was a member of St. Francis parish in Dyersville. Survivors include his wife, Diane, children: Steven (Birdie) Gehring of Palmer, AK, Susan (Carl) Magnussen of Belgrade, MT, grandchildren: Dave, Joey, Megan Gehring and Colton Magnussen He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
