Richard Mcneill

Richard was born on August 3, 1932, on the family farm in Greeley, Iowa the son of Percy A. & Opal V. Edmunds McNeill. He married Velma Starr on July 14, 1956 at Edgewood, Iowa. He served his country during the Korean War. He farmed the family farm in Greeley and was a farm hand in Illinois for 11 years. He also farmed in the Anamosa area. He had worked at the Monticello sale barn. He enjoyed life to the fullest, as he enjoyed to go camping, traveling, fishing, tractor pulls and going to Mexico to vacation. He is survived by his wife Velma, 2 daughters Carol (Steven) Saunders of Center Junction, Iowa and Tina (Patrick Deutmeyer) McNeill of Anamosa, Iowa. 2 grandchildren Steven R. (Catherine Nelson) Saunders Jr. and Christopher M. (Angela Meyer) Saunders. One great granddaughter Rachel. One sister-in-law Lillian "Gert" McNeill of Monticello, Iowa. Many nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Ronald and one sister Lillian A.(Susie) Carey.
