Ricky Shefelbine

Obituary Ricky (Rick) Gail Shefelbine, age 68, of Garnavillo, IA, died Thursday, January 10, 2019, at his home. He was born May 28, 1950 in Spring Grove Minnesota to Malcolm and Stella Maria (Marquez) Shefelbine. He married Roxanne Sagdalen in 1969 and they later divorced. They had two children. On August 11, 1979 Rick married Virginia Troester in Elkader Iowa and to the union two children were born. He served in the United States Army from 1971-1974. Rick enjoyed the outdoors where he could be fund fishing and hunting until his health no longer would allow him to do so. He was also a football fan but could always be found watching his three main teams, the Iowa Hawkeyes, Denver Broncos or the Minnesota Vikings. He enjoyed being on the computer and playing poker. He loved spending time with his family talking and laughing. Left to cherish his memory is his wife; Virginia Shefelbine; his four children; Valerie Shefelbine, Lori (Wayne) Patterson, Jesse Shefelbine, and Travis (Kerri) Shefelbine; ten grandchildren, Ryan, Cullen, Kyley, Tehya, Alexis, JaShon, Logan, Nicholas, Hunter, Addyson; three siblings Priscilla Nierling, Ronnie Shefelbine, and Brandy Rice. Rick is preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers Randy and Terry Shefelbine.
