Robert Carrier

Obituary Robert William Carrier, age 80, of Guttenberg, IA, died Saturday, March 11, 2017, at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital in Guttenberg, IA. He was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church, Guttenberg, IA. Bob was born June 28, 1937 the son of Willis and Daisy (Schloetzer) Carrier in Guttenberg Iowa; Bob graduated from Guttenberg High School in 1955. Bob soon married the love of his life Mary Grace Sargent at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Guttenberg Iowa. To this union three children were born; Mike, Roger, and Dianne. Bob worked for John Deere Dubuque Works where he later retired. Bob enjoyed spending his free time fishing; playing cards; spending time with family and friends one thing he loved to do was to watch a good western. He is survived by his wife; Mary Carrier, sons; Mike (Shari) Carrier, Roger Carrier; daughter Dianne Carrier, Sister Betty Smith; five grandchildren and two step grandchildren. Bob is preceded in death by his parents; infant sister Geraldine, brother Gene Carrier; brother-in-law Hugh Smith.
