Robert E Rowland

Robert E. Rowland, age 81, of Garnavillo, IA, died Sunday, March 12, 2006, at his home after a sudden illness. Bob was born the son of Roy and Hazel (Koth) Rowland, May 1, 1924, near Monona, Iowa. He graduated from the Garnavillo High School in 1941; served his country in the United States Army during World War II, and was a trucker for many years. On September 18, 1945, he was united in marriage with Noreen Berns at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garnavillo. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Noreen; two daughters, Jane (Dale) Radloff of Monona, and Melissa (Art) Oleson of Garnavillo; three sons, Steve (Diane) Rowland of Guttenberg, Tom Rowland of Garnavillo, and Doug (Cindy) Rowland of Ely; one sister, Ruth Satterlee of Hot Springs, Arkansas; eight grandchildren, Jared, Shannon, Matthew, Sarah, Reed, Cydney, Kris, and Kory; two great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Kaleb; three sisters in law, Cecil Heck of Garnavillo, Dorothy Miller of McGregor, and Jeanette Berns of Guttenberg, and many friends.
