Robert Hartmann

Knights of Columbus Council 4148 service Tuesday at 7:30 P.M.Robert Leonard Hartmann was born the son of Leonard and Editha (Fest) Hartmann, December 16, 1944, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He died Thursday, September 14, 2006, at his home following a sudden illness. Bob graduated from St. Marys Catholic School in 1963; attended Auto Mechanic School in Omaha, was self taught with his brother, John in electronics, owned and operated the River Valley Communication for 25 years; drove for the Guttenberg Ambulance Service; and was a full time Guttenberg City Dispatcher. He was a member of St. Marys Church, Church Choir, the Knights of Columbus Council 4148, 4th Degree, and past Grand Knight. On May 16, 1967, he was united in marriage with Frances Thomas at St. Josephs Church in Farley. Survivors include his wife, Fran, two brothers, John (Carol) Hartmann of Guttenberg and Paul (Laurie) Hartmann of Newport News, Virginia; two nieces; two nephews; two great-nieces; four great-nephews; one uncle, Forrestt Miller of New York; his favorite cat, TwoWay; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and aunt, Elizabeth Hartmann Miller.Visitation: Tuesday 3 P.M. to 8 P.M.
