Robert Reiter

Survivors include his wife, Karen; one daughter, Trina (Chris) Sankot of Fairfax, IA; one son, Kevin (special friend, Stacey Buck) of Cedar Rapids, IA; one granddaughter, Brooklyn Sankot; one brother, Jim (Dawn) Reiter of Moore, OK; three sisters: Kay (Ed) Raab of Sussex, WI, Mary (Jerry) Jorgensen of Dubuque, IA, Lois (Ken) Olberding of Dyersville, IA; his step-father, George Loecke of Manchester, IA; one step-brother, Jim (Daphne) Loecke of Manchester, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, Tim Krsek. Bob was born on March 31, 1944 in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Francis and Viola (Drees) Reiter. He was a member of the U.S. Army Reserves from 1962 - 1968. On January 31, 1970 he married Karen Ann Krsek at St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville, Iowa. Bob was employed at John Deere for 30 years, retiring in 2002. He enjoyed camping and fishing, and was an avid sports fan of the Packers, Cubs and Hawkeyes. He also loved spending time with his granddaughter. Memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association, Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Cedar Rapids, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
