Robert Schuster

Robert P. Schuster, 83, of Hopkinton, Iowa died Monday, January 16, 2012 at his home. Robert was born October 13, 1928, in Petersburg, Iowa the son of Andrew and Louise (Hessing) Schuster. He married Isabel Sperfslage on August 11, 1953, in Castle Grove, Iowa. He served in the US Army in Okinawa, Japan from 1953 - 1955, and returned home to begin his family and run his farm. Survivors include his children: Peter of Waterloo, Paul (Cathy), Robert, and Ted (Renee), all of Hopkinton Cynthia Schuster of Parker, CO, Lorraine Schuster and Amy Schuster, both of Cedar Falls; 12 grandchildren; a sister: Marjorie McNamara of Rogers, Arkansas, 3 sisters-in-law: Dolores Gassmann of Iowa City, Eleanor Ryan of Monticello, and Lila Mae Sperfslage of Coggon. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Isabel in 1981, a daughter, Linda Schuster, brothers-and sisters-in-law: George McNamara, Joe Sperfslage Jr., George Gassmann, Alice (Don) Shea.
