Rodger Cletus Sear Jr.

Rodger Cletus Sear, Jr., age 75, of rural Garber, IA, died Thursday, September 7, 2017, at his home. He was the son of Rodger and Betty Sear Sr. born October 23, 1941, in Dubuque. Rodger received his education locally, and served his country in the United States Army. He owned and operated the Sear Auto Salvage and Sear 66 Service for a many years. On November 26, 1976 he was united in marriage with Carla Hansel in Dubuque. Rodger enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and spending time with grandchildren. He is survived by his wife; Carla; one daughter, Tanya (David) Drips; three Sons, Warren (Angie) Sear, Rodger (Kaitlin) Sear, III, and William (Casey Miller) Sear; twelve grandchildren; one great grandchild; two sisters, Mary Lue (Edward) Huseman and Susan (Thom) Keifer; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; Rodger and Mary (step- mom) Sear. Sr; Betty Foley; and one daughter, Sarah Sear.
