Roland Latteyer

Roland Henry "Butch" Latteyer was born the son of John and Laura (Willie) Latteyer, May 2, 1944, near Elkader. He died Sunday, January 1, 2006, at Finley Hospital in Dubuque. Butch graduated from the Ed-Co High School in 1962; worked for John Deere Works in Dubuque and Kanns Manufacturing Corp. in Guttenberg. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and his grandchildren. On May 7, 1994, he was united in marriage with Rita Campbell at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Garnavillo. Survivors include his wife, Rita; one daughter, Leta (Garrett) White of North Buena Vista; two step-daughters, Lisa (Jeremy Fassbinder) Betting of Guttenberg, and Tina (Delvin) Tieden of Volga; one step-son, Scott Perrin of Garnavillo; four sisters, Anita Bond of Colesburg, Marlene Tumilty of Shellsburg, LaVonne (Roger) Bush of Colesburg, and Fern (Garry) Moser of Garnavillo; two brothers, John (Norma) Latteyer of Shellsburg, and Lonnie (Judy) Latteyer of Manchester; six grandchildren, Daniel Rodriguez, Brady Forsythe, Paige Forsythe, Brianna Tieden, Brittni Tieden and Brandy Tieden; his Dog, Hemi, and many niece and nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandson, Alex Forsythe, and three brothers, Carl Hansel, James Hansel, and Donald Hansel. Casket Bearers: Scott Perrin, Willie Kruse, C.J.
