Ronald J. Bauer

GARNAVILLO, IOWA

Ronald Joseph Bauer, 82, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2024 at the Elkader Care Center from heart and other health complications.

No services will be held at this time.

He was born March 7, 1942 to Christopher and Rose (Hildebrand) Bauer.

Ronald lived and worked his whole life on the family farm, rural Garnavillo. His family milked, (by hand!) for several years. They raised chickens for eggs and meat, also pigs for a few years. They grew corn, oats and for a few years sorghum.

Ronnie is survived by his sister-in-law, Marcee Bauer, and cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Morris; sister, Jannan; and aunts and uncles.

Memorials may be made to St Joseph Catholic Church, Garnavillo, Garnavillo EMS, or

Garnavillo Fire Department,
