Obituary Ronald Lavern Schroeder, age 79, of Guttenberg, IA, passed away on Monday, October 4, 2021, at the Guttenberg Care Center. He was born on October 3, 1942, the son of LaVern and LaVonne (Kuhlman) Schroeder Ronald graduated from the Edgewood High School with the class of 1960 and served in the United States Air Force from March of 1962 till he received his honorable discharge in March of 1966. On May 16, 1965, Ronald was united in marriage with Peggy Wessel and 4 children were born to this union. Ron was known to some as the driver of the 5X. He raced for many years in different stock car classes. He was a lifelong farmer and loved that life. He taught many of these skills to his children. He was a member of the River Park Cruisers club which satisfied his love for classic cars. He adored his family and particularly enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Ronald will be forever loved and cherished by his wife of 56 years, Peggy; children, Jeremy (Rhonda) Schroeder, Trisha (Greg) Hohnecker & Tonnie (Brian Briggs) Lundt; grandchildren, Dane Schroeder, Chaz Schroeder, Stone Schroeder, Brody Mizell, Christopher Mizell, Brielle Mizell, Dustin Lundt, Christian Briggs & Britani Schroeder; siblings, Robert Schroeder, Kevin Schroeder, Nioka "Nicky" Schroeder, Darcy (Jeff) Bolsinger and many other relatives and friends. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents & son Jonathan in 1998.
