Rosdele Gerloff

Rosadele "Rose" Louise Gerloff was born the daughter of Fredrick and Alma (Maier) Gerloff, September 26, 1927, on the family farm near Garber, Iowa. She died Friday, April 18, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque. Rose graduated from the Elkport High School and Upper Iowa University. She taught country school, and elementary schools in Garnavillo, Dubuque and Cedar Rapids for many years. She enjoyed helping people and was a volunteer for hospice. Those left to cherish her memory, one sister, Lafonda (William) Scherf Jr. of Farmersburg; two nieces, Beth Radloff and Lisa (Dan) Berns; one nephew, William (Michelle) Scherf III; one aunt, Grace Maier of Elkport; three uncles, George Maier of Garber, Arthur Maier and Alvin Maier of Littleport.
