Rosemary Theresa Matt

Obituary Rosemary Theresa Matt, age 86, of Garnavillo, IA, died Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at Guttenberg Municipal Hospital. She was born one of five daughters on March 18, 1931, in Guttenberg, the daughter of Raymond and Amelia (Burr) Frommelt. Rosemary was christened at St. Marys Catholic Church in Guttenberg and later graduated from St. Marys High School in 1948. On December 27, 1952, Rosemary was united in marriage with Francis Henry Matt at St. Marys Church in Guttenberg and the couple was later blessed with three sons, Jeff, Jay & Joel. Through the Air Force, the Matt family lived in Denver, Florida & Alaska before returning to Iowa to farm. Rosemary will always be remembered for her love of J-Wood Campground, never ending rummage sales, playing slot machines, Avon, and being a loyal Cubs fan. Rosemary will be forever loved and cherished by her two sons, Jeff (Lois) Matt of Shell Rock & Joel (Katie) Matt of Oak Creek Wis; 2 granddaughters, Liberty (Scott) Munson of Redmond, Washington & Tomorra (Jeff) Wessel of Central City;2 great grandchildren, Lafe and Jeralyn Wessel of Central City; sister, Esther Goedken and many other relatives and friends.
