Ruby Liechty

Ruby Liechty was born the daughter of Carl and Helen (Rockhold) Kindred on August 28, 1926, in Mercer County Missouri. She passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at the Guttenberg Care Center. Years after receiving her education, Ruby was married to Robert Liechty on February 15, 1958 at the Methodist Church in Washington, Iowa. To this union they were blessed with two children. For many years Ruby worked as a homemaker plus she also made her home into a childrens day care for family and close friends. Ruby enjoyed crafts, crocheting, reading, fishing, caring for her grandkids and cooking especially making pies and her famous cinnamon rolls. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 52 years, Robert; two children, Sherie (Tom) Tujetsch of Guttenberg and Larry (Kathy) Liechty of Seattle, Wash. ; four grandchildren, Andy, Ellen, Erin and Maggie; siblings, Norma (Hubert) Stutzman, Bill (Judy) Kindred, Carl (Lou) Kindred, Kate Ahrens, Jean Black, Maggie (Bob) Elliott, Mike (Nancy) Dickerson, Lois (Jim) Drayfahl and Gary Dickerson.
