Russell Daniel Brown

Obituary Daniel Brown, 69, of Garnavillo, Iowa passed away on Wednesday April 28, 2021 at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque, Iowa. A memorial service will be held on May 6, 2021 at Imagine the Possibilities in Guttenberg, Iowa at 11:00 am with Pastor Neil Hofer presiding. Russell was born January 23, 1952 to Virginia Bailey and Dan Brown in Mullens, WV. After leaving home, Russell resided in multiple care facilities, but he found his true home at G&G Living Centers/Imagine the Possibilities in September 2005. It was here that Russell found friends and supports that eventually became his family. Russell enjoyed all aspects of life and could often been seen out in the community going shopping, to the movies, and for walks. Russell loved dressing up and playing the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus for community events. Russells true passion was coloring/drawing pictures for others and Elvis Presley. Russell was a huge Elvis fan and enjoyed going to the Elkader Opera House to watch the Elvis impersonator perform. Russell got a huge kick out of the last Elvis performance he attended. He received a scarf from the impersonator, Joseph Hall, and was overjoyed. Russell could be seen wearing this scarf everywhere. Russell was loved by everyone who had the chance to be part of his network of family and friends. He was also loved by his support staff. Russell leaves behind his longtime girlfriend, Doreen, his friends, and his Imagine family.Russell Services No services to be held
