Sandra L. Rausch “Sandy” age 80, of Luxemburg, Iowa was born to Eternal Life on Sunday, September 15, 2024 surrounded by her family.

Sandy was born September 9, 1944 to Reed and Margaret (Huene) Every in Guttenberg, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Ronald L. Rausch at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Guttenberg on May 2, 1964.

Sandy is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Ronald; children: Michael (Tina) Rausch and Ann (Michael) Schmirler; grandchildren: David (Mariana) Rausch, Ashley Moser, Samantha (Ryan) Fisher, Jasmine (Scott) Dragan, Matthew (Claire) Schmirler, Benjamin Schmirler, Joseph (Taylor) Schmirler, great grandchildren Beatrice and Lily; her sisters: Sharon (Bill “Foxy”) Monahan and Sheila Boge; and sisters-in-law: Kay (Daniel) Patrinos, Judy Melevage, Phyllis (Gary) Astgen; brother-in-law, Steven Rausch. Sandy is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many lifelong friends.

Sandy is preceded in death by her and Ron's son, John Paul Rausch; her parents, parents-in-law, Nicholas and Dorothy (Friedman) Rausch; brothers-in-law: Richard Boge and Bernie Melevage.

Sandy was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. Sandy's love of life was evident in everything she did; it was most bright in her smile, laughter and her unwavering love for her family and friends. She enjoyed tending her gardens, golfing, knitting, crocheting, craft projects and reading. Most of all she loved spending time with Ronnie, her family and friends.

Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. on Friday, September 20, 2024, at St Mary's Catholic Church in Guttenberg. The Mass of Christian Burial will commence at 11a.m. with inurnment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Rev. Paul Kwaku Ameyaw will officiate.
