DYERSVILLE, IOWA Sandra "Sandy" J. Tegeler, 53, of Dyersville, Iowa died Monday, November 5, 2012, at her home in Dyersville. Friends may call from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. Thursday, November 8, 2012, at Kramer Funeral Home in Dyersville where a vigil service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friends may continue to call after 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2012, at St. Francis Xavier Basilica in Dyersville. Rev. Noah Diehm will officiate. According to her wishes, Sandy has been cremated. Sandy was born May 5, 1959, in Dubuque, Iowa, the daughter of David Reittinger and Mary Lou (Lansing) Thomas. She graduated from Beckman High School and continued with nurses' training in Rochester, MN. She married Robert Tegeler on May 26, 1984, in Dyersville. She worked at Mercy Medical Center, primarily ICU, for over 30 years dedicating much of her time caring for others in need. She loved her calling so much that she continued school and received her BSN degree from Clarke College. Survivors include her husband, Bob, 3 children: Rachael (Aaron) Plein of Marion, Matt Tegeler of West Des Moines and Zach Tegeler of Dyersville; her father, David Reittinger (special friend Barbara Petersen) of Dyersville, her mother, Mary Lou (Bill) Thomas of Dyersville; father-in-law, Donald (Cathy) Tegeler of Dyersville, 4 brothers: Dan (Lori) Reittinger, Mike Reittinger both of Dyersville, Mark (Tracy) Reittinger of Anamosa and Jay Reittinger (special friend Molly Lammers) of Dyersville, brothers-and-sisters-in-law: David (Karen) Tegeler, Debra Kruse (special friend Wayne Pearce), Sherry (Terry) Thier, all of Dyersville, and many aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews.
