Sharon K. Beatty

GUTTENBERG, IOWA

Sharon K. Beatty, 80, of Guttenberg, Iowa passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at Guttenberg Care Center in Guttenberg, Iowa.

Inurnment will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Mount Harmony Cemetery outside of Garber, Iowa.

Sharon was born February 26, 1943 at her home and was delivered by her grandma White and grandma Bolsinger. She was the oldest child of Lawrence (Bill) and Iva Bolsinger. On August 2, 1961 Sharon was united in marriage to John Beatty. They soon became parents of their three children Lonnie, Christine and Lainie.

Sharon worked many different manufacturing jobs throughout her years but her favorite job was being a mother. She always said that raising her children had been the best years of her life. Sharon loved the outdoors. She enjoyed gardening and maintaining her yard and her flower beds. She also loved to cook and would feed anyone that stopped in to visit her. Sharon loved to spend time with her family and friends. Her laugh was infectious and she would go out of her way to bring a smile to the face of anyone she met.

She is survived by her children: Lonnie (Joleen) Beatty, Christine (Shane) Templeton, grandchildren: Greg (Stephanie) Beatty, Hunter Beatty, Rebecca (James) Frank, Nicholaus (Autumn) Osterloh, Zachary Templeton, Cassidy Beatty; great-grandchildren: Brydon, Carter, Nevaeh, Parker, Charlee, Jaxon, and Beau; siblings: Janice (John) Moore, Roger (Diane) Bolsinger, Harvey (Heidi) Bolsinger, Rick (Carol) Bolsinger, Connie Beeh, Dennis (Lisa) Bolsinger, Jeff (Darcy) Bolsinger; in-laws: Kay Bolsinger and Richard Hess.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lainie Manning; son-in-law, Mark Manning; granddaughter, Deanna Osterloh; parents, Lawrence and Iva Bolsinger; brother, Jim Bolsinger; sister, Judy Hess; sister-in-law, Deborah Bolsinger; brother-in-law, Jacob Beeh; and a brother-in-law, Jerry Taylor.
