Sharon Ann Krapfl was born the daughter of Clarence and Gladys (Wonleighton) Krapfl, October 31, 1938, three miles outside Edgewood. She was the second born of ten children. She died Wednesday, January 11, 2006, at Guttenberg Care Center. Sharon and her family lived on several farms in the areas of : Strawberry Point, Littleport, Elkader and Pony Hollow, all in Clayton County. She lived in Edgewood with her mother for five years, then in Cedar Rapids for three years before becoming a resident of the Guttenberg Care Center, in 1987. She was proud to be named "Resident of the Month" in August of 2000. Sharon enjoyed her collecting Beanie Babies, her dolls, learning to read; typing and playing games on the computer; going to Camp Courages in Monticello from 1973 until 2003; flowers; swimming, and reading Bible stories. She will be sadly missed by her family, four sisters, Judy Anderson of Cedar Rapids, Carol (Larry) Moser of Garnavillo, Lynda (Tom) Burgin, and Merry (Gene) Holthaus both of Edgewood; four brothers, Richard Krapfl of Elkader, Donald (Wanda) Krapfl of Cedar Rapids, Tom (Nancy) Krapfl of Center Point, and Dewitt (Candy) Krapfl of Winthrop, and many nieces, nephews and a lot of friends.
