Steven Vonderhaar

Survivors include his wife, Debra, 2 daughters: Tiffany (Matt Casey) of Epworth, Iowa and Heather of Dyersville, Iowa and 1 son, Tony at home, his parents, Leonard and Margaret Vonderhaar of Holy Cross, Iowa, a brother, Robie (Amy) Vonderhaar of Osterdock, Iowa, nieces and nephews: Alan (Amy Moser) Vonderhaar, Katie (Joe) Rausch, Laura Vonderhaar, and Valerie Vonderhaar; 3 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers; James in 1980 and Randy in 1995. Steve was born on April 15, 1956 in Manchester, Iowa, the son of Leonard and Margaret (Reittinger) Vonderhaar. He married Debra Wilhelm on September 16, 1978 in Dubuque, Iowa. Steve loved the outdoors, enjoying softball, camping, fishing and especially hunting. He was a member of the Tri-County Sportsman Club and he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. We would like to thank the nurses at the Univ. of Iowa Hospital and Hospice of Dubuque for their excellent care and compassion. Friends may call from 2 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, 2007, at Kramer Funeral Home in Holy Cross. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, in Holy Cross, Iowa with burial in the church cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Michael Podhajsky.
